Keep Your Online Presence Up To Date


I’d like to thank April Keating for inviting our agents to meet at her home to exchange ideas and talk about their listings. Agents who attended were enthusiastic about the meeting and plan on getting together again.  Maybe there’s a new way of having office meetings on the horizon?   Meet with a less structured casual exchange of ideas.  The occasional luncheons in Naples and Bonita offices are very well attended, there were 40 people at the last one.  Try to attend next time, they are fun, informative and guess what?  You get to meet fellow agents!     

We know consumers are looking on line before they begin reaching out to an agent. That’s why we expect our agent’s on line presence to be professional, polished and honest because if it’s not, you know the consumer will complain to their social media sphere and beyond.

Make it part of your business goals this month to do a little spring cleaning and take a closer look at your online presence.  Review the description of yourself on your website, Facebook, Linked In profile – time for an update?  Don’t forget your profile on, Florida Realtors® and Board websites. Upload a new photo, add your designations, awards and recognition to your profiles.  Everyone reads reviews online about the products they are buying.  Online is your first sales presentation so testimonials are really important – ask for them and post them on your website!

In addition to the property landing pages you prepare for your website, create one that talks about you and what your interests are. One of our agents who’s an avid golfer has a list of his favorite courses to play.   Another enjoys dining in downtown Naples restaurants and features his top faves as well as what he usually orders even suggesting some wine pairings. 

By the way, have you listened to your cell phone greeting lately? Wouldn’t it be nice if your message at least identified who you are and not just the cell phone number?????   Yes, I’m talking to you!  Greet the caller with your friendly voice and make sure they know they’ve got the right person to do business with. 

Keep yourself and your online presence real, fresh and up to date. I’m going to do that too!
