Why are you in this Real Estate business?
Did you ever sit back, scratch your head and ask yourself, “why am I in this business?” This is a valid question when the showing agent cancels at the minute she is scheduled to arrive at your “Listing Agent must attend all showings” listing. Or when the home inspector discovers mold or radon on your listing that after 160 days on market finally got a contract. Why are we in this business? We’re in this business because we want to thrill and excite our customer with a new home and lifestyle and we get a rush every time we do.
HGTV shows are popular with consumers. The shows get them dreaming about what they want! It generates ideas on interior design, home improvement, cooking, entertaining. Creating a place that is warm, welcoming and safe for those who call it home. We WANT consumers to dream about what they want and we want to be there when they are ready to pursue that dream. Are you creating that feeling in your marketing and advertising? Consider how you currently market and tweak it a bit to be more attractive to buyers to nurture the dream.
Staging, floral arrangements, table set for entertaining are suggestions that you can advise a seller when presenting their home to prospective buyers. Buyers are looking at the new construction and it’s really tempting to get everything new. It’s a buyer’s market out there kiddos, so be ready to compete!
