If you’re like me, for the first week in January all you’ve read about is how our New Year resolutions will be replaced by our old habits by February. It’s like they set us up to fail!
Defy the odds and GET STARTED! Put into play some new ROUTINES in your business day. ROUTINES are good and allow for at least some control over days that are often unpredictable. A ROUTINE of successful agents is prospecting daily for business – on the telephone for two hours every morning. Mailing a monthly newsletter is a ROUTINE. Contacting a data base is ROUTINE. Last year you may have done it a bit here and there, and maybe got too busy and let it go for a while. But this year, make it a ROUTINE to do it daily. Follow through with it EVERY SINGLE DAY.
With the fresh optimism for the future of our country’s economy, the stock market continuing to climb and our best real estate selling time upon us, it’s time to send an email, a video, a text message or (hey, what????) a phone call to everyone in your database. They are just waiting to hear from you! All you have to say is “Hi! Are you still planning to buy or sell in 2017?” How hard is that? Tell them that things are getting busy here in sunny SW Florida and you want to make sure they are in your calendar so you can provide them the best service possible. Your pipeline will start to get full and you will be listing and selling more real estate.
Up your Accountability! Discipline yourself and start to see the magic that happens when you apply ROUTINES into your daily work life. If you want accountability and have no one to be accountable to, create a group to work together to accomplish your goals. Whether it’s an informal visit with fellow agents in the office or just check in with me on your weekly progress, we’re here if/and/or when you need the support. Let’s all work together to support and motivate one another and make it a ROUTINE to take ourselves to the next level!
