Collier & Lee County continue to grow
Collier County is in the process of assessing its future growth needs and it looks like investors are "all in"
Recently, billionaire Jeff Greene and his partners out of Palm Beach invested $38.5 million in North Naples. The property on Jones Mining Road is just about 12 miles east of I-75. This is the largest land sale of the past year in Southwest Florida involving mining and agricultural land.
Greene owns many large parcels of land nationwide and is currently working to develop properties in Florida and California.
It appears that investors are taking a closer look at this North Naples area, because of the availability of the larger parcels. Recently 320 acres in the Valencia Golf & Country club were sold for $30 million with plans for a 900 unit development.
Got another $10 million? There's a 37 acre parcel just north of Vanderbilt Beach Road on Collier Boulevard. It's ready for residential and commercial development.
Another hot corridor commercial investors are "all in" on is the north Cape Coral, Pine Island Road corridor. This prime location has attracted the big retailers including Walmart, Target, Publix, Lowes, BJ's Wholesale, Bed Bath & Beyond, Wawa and Sports Authority.

Recently, FHR Commercial sold 8 acres on US 41 just south of the Collier/Lee county line where the new Mercedes dealership is opening soon. It's a gorgeous building and quite and attractive asset to the north 41 corridor.
