It’s that time of year when we start reflecting on what we accomplished for the year and mentally prepare our new year’s resolutions. But muddled in between party planning, gift exchanges and traveling to be with family and friends, that little voice in the back of your head says, “what are your goals for next year?”
Forget about the I’m going to exercise more, lose weight, get more sleep and eat healthy - that goes without saying. What are you going to do to improve your business? What are you going to do to motivate yourself to get to the next level? What steps are you going to take to get there? Do you have a plan to start on how you are going to do that?
Those questions have been haunting my brain for a couple of days now. I pulled out the goals I wrote down last January and reviewed them today. Hmmmm. Well, some of the things I accomplished, YAY! Personally, I lost 30 pounds, I eat better, and I kept my weight down. I write more and see my children and grandchildren more often. Unfortunately, I did not catch bigger fish or went home at 5:00 as often as I would have liked.
Business wise, we improved our company marketing materials and increased our social media reach. We updated our data base and created a new drip campaign for recruiting using informative emails and videos. We realigned our staff to focus on their strengths and created happier, more productive employees with emphasis on serving our agents better. We created classes for agents on business planning and social media lead generating platforms. We got rid of quarterly meetings and have more intimate, fun luncheons and social gatherings for agents instead. And to top off the end of the year, we added the new mobile app that will make it easier for our agents to do business and generate their own leads.
Let’s take the next few weeks to plan on how we’ll challenge ourselves this coming year. Think about your goals for 2017 and how you plan to achieve them. Attend one of our business planning classes in January and chart your course to the next level of success. I’ve seen the benefits of the classes in agents who took the class and applied themselves. They’re accomplishing their goals. The real estate business is not for sissies or the week of heart. It requires planning, organization, dedication, determination and a never give up attitude. We’re here to support, encourage and help you move your business to the next level.
Enjoy the Holiday Spirit!
